Blosser was a staff writer/editor and, eventually, bureau chief for the Associated Press in Cleveland, Ohio, from 1935-1943. In his spare time beginning in 1938, Blosser conducted interviews and extensive research for a biography of Oris P. and Mantis J. Van Sweringen, developers of the exclusive suburb of Shaker Heights, Ohio and builders of Cleveland's Union Terminal, who amassed huge holdings in railroads during the 1920s. Blosser finished his manuscript in 1946, but it remained unpublished. Blosser was public relations director for the New York Central Railroad until 1956, and vice president in charge of public relations and advertising at Union Commerce Bank in Cleveland from 1956 to 1973. The collection consists of a typescript second draft of Blosser's "Untitled biography of the Van Sweringen brothers of Cleveland," a carbon copy of the same containing additions, comments and corrections by William H.
